Our Inspiration: This activity explores the Prophet’s (pbuh) lineage and what place our beloved Prophet (pbuh), holds among all human beings.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mounted on the minbar (pulpit) and said, “Who am I?” His listeners replied, “You are the Messenger of God, may peace be upon you.” He said, “I am Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullah Abd Al-Muttalib. When God created human beings, He divided them into two groups, making me the best of these two; He then divided them into tribes, and made me a member of the best of them. He then divided them into families, of which I am in the best. He also gave me the purest soul.” (Al-Tirmidhi, Kitab Al-Manaqib).
All Encompassing Mercy: In this activity, students will explore the idea that Allah’s Mercy reaches anything and everything.
This activity is based on the verse “My Mercy encompasses all things” (7:156).
Sweetness of Iman: Students will make a fun gumball machine craft that reflects the idea of “sweetness.” They will also attach an “Action Tracker Sheet” that will motivate them to apply the ideals of this hadith.
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “There are three qualities that whoever possesses will taste the sweetness of faith: that Allah and His Messenger are dearer to him than all else; that he love a person only for the sake of Allah; and that he hates to revert to disbelief just as he hates to be thrown into the fire.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Dua of Prophet Yunus (as) – In this activity students will learn a du’a that is among the pearls of wisdom from the lives of the Prophets.
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “The supplication of my brother Dhu al-Nun, (There is no God but you; Glory be to You; I was one of the wrongdoers): Every person in a state of distress who has used this supplication has had God remove his distress.” [Al-Tirmidhi]
Who am I?: Students will make a craft representing the Seven who will be under Shade of Allah (swt).
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Seven people Allah will give them His Shade on the Day when there would be no shade but the Shade of His Throne (i.e., on the Day of Resurrection): And they are: a just ruler; a youth who grew up with the worship of Allah; a person whose heart is attached to the mosques, two men who love and meet each other and depart from each other for the sake of Allah; a man whom an extremely beautiful woman seduces, but he (rejects this offer and) says: ‘I fear Allah’; a man who gives in charity and conceals it (to such an extent) that the left hand does not know what the right has given; and a man who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes become tearful.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Reaping Rewards: This craft is a visual reminder that symbolizes the main idea of this hadith.
Uthman ibn Affan narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
